I recieved a book called "American Hauntings" for my birthday last year, so I thought I'd post places in this book that are near Indiana (or in Indiana).

Hotel Baker: St. Charles, Illinois
Jane Addam's Hull House: Chicagp, Illinois
Chicago Fine Arts Building: Chicago, Illinois
Harpo Studios: Chicago, Illinois
Clark Street Bridge: Chcago, Illinois
Bachelor's Grove Cemetary: Midlothian, Illinois
Forest Home Cemetary: Forest Park, Illinois
Resurrection Cemetary: Justice, Illinois
The Hannah House: Indianapolis, Indiana
Willard Library: Evansville, Indiana
University of Notre Dame: South Bend, Indiana
Hinckley Community Library: Hinckley, Ohio
Memorial Hall and The Victoria Theatre: Dayton, Ohio
Chadwick Inn/Linck Inn: Maumee, Ohio
The Garfield House: Hiram, Ohio
Mammoth Cave: Kentucky
The Bell Witch Home and Cave: Adams, Tennessee
Old Presque Isle Lighthouse: Lake Huron, Michigan

I'll add posts giving more information for each site. Let me know if you are curious about one and I'll do even more in depth research. I'm sure some of them (or most of them) you may have heard about and can easily dismiss (such as the Willard Library), but I thought I'd post them anyway.  Very Happy

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile. It's been busy for me with work and getting ready for my trip. I probably won't post anything more about haunted areas until I get back from my trip.

I live 10 minutes away from Batchelor's grove cemetary. I gave Jason some information on that. Plus Ressurection Mary is the most famous ghost in Chicago. Although the last reports of her being seen is back in the 70's. I've heard of the Hull House and the "devil baby". Chicago is famous for it's infamous haunts. I'd like to get the group together to investigate batchelor's grove though. I've been there several times and have caught some photographic evidence, but still looking for my pictures.

It is one of the oldest cemetaries in the area. Too bad it is abandoned and constantly vandalized by kids looking for a good scare. Not to mention the woods in the area are filled with satanic symbols, and worshipers. I've personally seen the area, and it looks like a scene from the blair witch project.

I'll have to coordinate with local law enforcements to get a group out there to investigate.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem since I have alot of good friends who are cops. Not to mention I have a good standing with local law enforcement with the shoplifters I catch for them. Not to mention that this won't be a group of punk kids causing trouble their iether  Razz

I must note though, this is a place where something might or may follow you home. There are reports of people who take stuff from the Cemetary or desecrate something. And they have unexplained phenomena follow them back. So please be extra careful if we do get a chance to get down there.

I'd love to do a proffesional investigation of the place. It's just a neat old cemetary that's been forgoten wich I think is sad. Maybe a reason for all the paranormal activity there. Not to mention there have been reports of ghost cars that collide with passers by! They report seeing a vehicle, and hear braking, and the vehicle crashing, but stop to look, and there's no one there. Although it is a pretty busy street. Plus there is a phantom house that you cannot get to, and another ledgend is that the small lagoon is suspected to be a dumping area for the Chicago mafia.

It's a place rich with history. Some of the first setters in the area are buried there. Plus If you guys come out this way, I have a place to stay. We have a spare bedroom, and I do have an extra bed in my apartment. I mainly sleep on the couch for those of you who have a long distance to drive. My home is your home any time you wanna crash.  Very Happy
