Picture Evidence

Here is a photo I have taken a few years back. My Civil War unit went to the Stones River battlefield in Tennessee to do a living history weekend there for the 4th of July. Upon touring the battlefield, I came across some Illinois grave stones. I took the photo of the monument there, and lo and behold I saw this. I was not smoking during the photo, and I might add, the photo was taken with a disposable camera. It is on the negative as well. If you look at the upper right hand corner of the mist, there are letters forming! I do see initials. Not to mention the equippment straps of a soldier in front of the cannon, and the shape of a horse next to it. What do you guys think? I've submitted this photo to TAPS Paramag also.

that looks like embers popping from the side of the cannon... much like after the torch has lit or the cord has been pulled etc..

considering the smoke above the cannon.. the puff lower beside and that ember trail...

looks like you caught it going off!!
